About Siringiti Serengeti Camp
Siringiti sits out on the central Serengeti plains, where the grass runs to the horizon and a single acacia can anchor an entire view. It is a tented camp, so the experience stays close to the landscape, with canvas walls, open decks and the sounds of the bush carrying through the evening.
Guests choose between standard tents and a higher suite category, which makes the camp flexible for couples, friends or a family who want different levels of space. The photographs show suites with a beaded chandelier, a king bed and a proper sofa corner, a touch of polish inside the canvas.
The lounge tent is the social heart of the camp, with cowhide rugs, brass side tables and animal-skull decor giving it a distinctly East African character. Maasai team members are part of the welcome, and the camp also lists a spa and wildlife viewing straight from the grounds, so quiet hours are well spent.
- Central Serengeti plains setting with wide, open horizons
- Standard tents alongside a more spacious suite category
- Suite bedrooms with king bed, sofa area and beaded chandelier
- Lounge tent with bar, cowhide rugs and brass accents
- Decks shaded by large acacia trees, lovely at sunset
- Spa and Wi-Fi listed among the camp amenities
Setting
The camp stands on the open plains of the central Serengeti, an area that suits both resident wildlife and the seasonal movements of the great herds. Tents are spread beneath broad acacia trees, which give shade through the day and a classic silhouette at dusk. Because the land is so open, expect long views from your deck and a strong sense of space around you.
Rooms and tents
Accommodation is in tents, with a choice of standard tents and a higher suite category. Suite interiors in the photographs feature a king bed, a sofa seating area and a beaded chandelier, while the tent exteriors sit under acacia shade with a private deck. Ask us which category suits your party, and we will confirm layouts, bed configurations and whether a family can be placed together.
Dining
Meals are taken at the camp's own restaurant, with the lounge tent and its bar serving as the place for a sundowner before dinner. The setting is relaxed, with cowhide rugs and soft lighting setting the tone. Dining times usually follow the rhythm of game drives, so expect early starts and unhurried evenings. Tell us about any dietary needs in advance and we will pass them on to the camp.
Things to do from here
- Game drives across the central Serengeti plains
- Early-morning drives for big cats and open-country wildlife
- Sundowners on your deck beneath the acacia
- Spa treatments after a day on safari
- Optional sunrise balloon flight, arranged through Lemala
When to stay
The Serengeti is usually at its best in July to October, when the dry season concentrates wildlife and the wildebeest cross the Mara River in the north, and again in January and February, when the southern plains are busy with the herds. Long rains usually fall from March to May and the short rains in November and December, when the landscape is greener, quieter and good for dramatic skies.
Good to know
- Wi-Fi is listed, but signal in the bush can be patchy, so treat it as a bonus rather than a promise.
- Suites and standard tents differ in size and finish, so ask us to confirm which category is best for you.
- Wildlife is wild and movements vary through the year, so sightings are never guaranteed on any given day.
- Transfers and game-drive logistics are arranged by Lemala, and we can advise on fly-in options to the central Serengeti.
